I think I am getting it now why applications (AX of course in particular) are coming today with a Check for updates as a prerequisite when installing them. It's because we are starting to get so many versions of the additional software we need to run it on, that the number of combinations gets us sometime in unsupported paths.
However, we sometime forget that ... and we spend hours going in circles on a problem that it's not really a problem. I did just that for the last 3 hours, and decided to write this as a reminder, not only, to myself, that I should always Check for the applications / components updates when installing them in a new scenario.
